This piece was painted for my 2005 Jonathan LeVine Gallery show.
Peripherally, a toy company that I’d worked with suggested making a vinyl toy out of the central figure. We worked with the great sculptor Colin Batty to make a brilliant
maquette, but the toy was never produced. Then several years later, Tucson’s amazing
Metalphysics foundry offered to upscale the sculpture and create a 3 foot tall bronze.
The bronze is offered on my big cartel as well.
