Here is one of the earlier preliminary drawings for my Mimi print. Before going to final linework, I first do a rough on regular printer paper. Using cheap paper is liberating for me, it loosens me up to be more expansive and imaginative. When I’m working on something big (like this piece) I’ll have to work on more than one piece of 11x17” paper taped together.
